Hi again fellow aviators,
I have a technical question:
I would like to know more about the PSEU (Proximity Switch Electronics Unit).
Specifically which electronic systems/subsystems are linked to it and what happens if this unit fails? Is there a backup for it? How important is the PSEU during cruise flight?
I know that one of the electronic subsystems linked to the PSEU is the auto-restow, which is supposed to automatically retract a jet's backup ground braking system (thrust reverser) if it accidentally starts to deploy in flight. If the PSEU was malfunctioning, could it engage the thrust reverse during flight?
Thanks in advance
Best Regards,
Michael Judah

Hi all,
I have found an excellent web-site explaining all about the PSEU and all the other systems found onboard the Boeing 737.
Check it out: THE BOEING 737 TECHNICAL SITE
